I did a spur of the moment 'Target run', which ended in me buying several bags of Easter candy that I should NOT be eating. I don't even feel good after eating sweets anymore since I have been pregnant, but still bought up half the aisle. When I was growing up, my mom never let my sister and I have candy, sugary cereal, or anything 'unhealthy'. I partially blame that for why as an adult I will buy those types of things occasionally when I 'feel' like it. My husband doesn't like sweets at all really, so it will 100% be me eating all of this candy. Yikes. Unless my sister happens to come over, in that case I will give it away to her.

Over on the TWT page you posted your landing page link and not your post. I added your link, but it mike take a few minutes to show up.
ReplyDeleteI have a raging sweet tooth, but my A1C is near the level of a diabetic (family history), so I’ve really cut back on sweets. My husband loves chocolate marshmallow eggs and has a stash somewhere. He has much more self-control, and he likes to eat the eggs stale, so he exposes them to air.
Target is dangerous always! I agree that our childhoods definitely impact us with things like that- I'm similar to you here! I stash it in my school bag so no one else eats it though. What a terrible habit!
ReplyDeleteEaster candy is a weakness. I think it goes with winter being over and spring beginning. It sounds like sharing could be your best option, or just even enjoying it all yourself. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI am not a sweets person myself but I do know the power of a good tortilla chip or cracker to call me in the beginning of the night. Those stores know the power of treats to call us when we are in stores. Willpower is not enough when you are pulled to a desired "lovee."
ReplyDeleteI wait all year for Reese's peanut butter eggs. My son loves the Starburst jellybeans. Jellybeans over chocolate?? Craziness!
ReplyDeleteI'm always trying to figure out how to write shorter posts. I feel like I need to tell every detail of the story! You have told so much in fewer words and I think it's very effective!
ReplyDeleteOh! Henry! Easter eggs are my favourite. I can't get enough!
I couldn't even stop when I was at Target! I had to avert my eyes. I knew I would have no willpower. Maybe next week I will stop :)
