Does anyone else hate doing laundry? I cannot stand it. Its all fine to throw the clothes in the washer and then the dryer, but the final step of hanging/folding is what gets me. Being pregnant has significantly reduced my motivation to keep up with it lately. But even prior to that it was something that I never wanted to do. I'll be completely honest, I have wayyyy too many clothes. So I can definitely go a while before I absolutely have to do laundry, which in and of itself makes the task even more overwhelming when I look at the large piles of clothes! If I had endless money I would pay someone to do it for me.

Day 31! 3/31/21
This month of blogging has flown by! It has been nice to write down my thoughts each day this month. Today is sunny but chilly, so I thin...

Sleep is something that I have clearly taken for granted all of my life, up until now. Right now I am 29 1/2 weeks pregnant and had the wo...

Today I had an ultrasound to check up on the baby and it was crazy how much bigger he looks! They estimated that he is 6 pounds, and I am...
The only part I don't like is sorting and folding socks. For me laundry is an easy thing to accomplish. I feel like I've actually done something - so satisfying to put it all away! Of course, I have worked on a system so that I am doing a bit each day so I can take the weekend off! When I don't do this and have to wash/fold/put away all day on Saturday then I hate laundry.
ReplyDeleteI feel you! The washing part is fine, but the drying out and folding SUCK!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I loathe doing laundry. I remind myself I'm lucky to have a laundry room and don't have to use the laundry mat, and my husband helps w/ laundry.
ReplyDeleteYes! I hate putting the clothes away! I get them washed and they just sit in the basket for days! (Hate to break it to you, but baby = more laundry... sometimes I can't fathom how much laundry we have. It seems like we have 10 people in our family instead of 4!)
ReplyDeleteI like doing laundry. Not a big fan of folding and putting away. 3 kids will do that to you. Add to that a partner who turns everything she owns inside-out before washing and you have yourself a party. Great post!
ReplyDeleteOH my gosh, I need a really good tv show to make folding laundry tolerable. So annoying. I would most definitely pay someone to do that step and at times I have totally paid my children. Some things are worth paying for.
ReplyDeleteOur laundry facilities are upstairs, which I hate because I always get caught up in the day and forget to go back up and change loads. Give me all the folding and putting away (I a sucker for neat and organized stacks...), but please make the endless cycle of washing and drying stop!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind except that my laundry room is in the basement and I constantly forget to go down and change it to the dryer or to get it after it's dry.
ReplyDeleteLaundry, dishes, cleaning . . . I hate it all! But the folding and putting away is the toughest part of it all.
